How to make a ZFold slit card - Dovecraft "Nature's Grace" by Trimcraft

This is a Zfold slit card which I made using the beautiful Dovecraft "Nature's Grace" collection from Trimcraft. All the step by step instructions and measurements are below.

You will need:
Dovecraft A4 Luxury Heavyweight Card
Dovecraft "Nature's Grace" 12 x 12 paper pack
Dovecraft "Nature's Grace" Paper Doily
Dovecraft "Nature's Grace" Accordion Sticker
Dovecraft "Nature's Grace" Puffy Sticker
Dovecraft "Nature's Grace" Mini Wooden Pegs
Dovecraft "Nature's Grace" Adhesive Pearls
Dovecraft "Nature's Grace" Washi Tape
Dovecraft Crafters Glue
Dovecraft 3D foam squares

How to make it:
1. Take an A4 piece of white card, score and fold in half (valley fold) on the long side to create a base card. Then score and fold the front in half (mountain fold) as shown. Measure up 6cm from the bottom of the card and make a 15cm slit which is 7.5cm on each side of the centre fold.

2. Cut pieces of grey patterned paper measuring 7cm x 20.5cm, 7cm x 14.5cm, 7cm x 5.5cm. Then cut another piece measuring 14.5cm x 20.5cm  and measure up 6cm from the bottom left and 7.5cm in from the side - cut this part out. Glue these pieces to the base card.

3. Cut a piece of floral paper measuring 6.5cm x 20cm and glue to the left panel.
Cut a piece of mustard patterned paper measuring 6.5cm x 14cm and glue to the centre top panel.
Cut a piece of bird patterned paper measuring 6.5cm x 5cm and glue below the mustard patterned panel.

4. Add a strip of bird patterned washi tape along the top of the right hand panel and a small strip along the bottom as shown. Glue a doily to the top right. Remove the button from an accordion sticker and glue the sticker to the centre of the doily. Add a bird puffy sticker on top and a grey mini peg at the top. Cut 2 tails of rose patterned ribbon and glue to the doily, below the accordion sticker.

5. Add mini bunting to the front panel of the card as shown, using 3D foam squares. Add pearls on top.

Inspiration gatefold card using Tonic Studios' Craft Kit 7

This is a gatefold card which I made using some of the elements inside Tonic Studios' Craft Kit 7 and I have posted photos of the steps in making it below.

I have also used a few things which are not included eg black ink, white card, tacky glue, 3D foam squares and a Nuvo Brush Script Pen (138)

How to make it:
1. Cut a piece of white card to 20cm x 13.5cm and score at 1cm and 19cm. Using the die shown, cut out 2 white shapes and 2 embossed pink shapes.

2. Glue the pink embossed card pieces to the white shapes and glue the edges to the 1cm folded edges of the card base.

3. Use the 2 dies shown on white card to create the patterned pieces and glue to the front of the card.

4. Stamp the image with black ink onto white card (I used the Tim Holtz Stamping Platform)

5. Use the outer "square" die shape to cut around the stamped image, then colour with the Nuvo Markers included in the kit. Use the green Glitter Marker on the large leaves and colour the narrow leaves with the green Brush Script pen.
Use the two dies shown above to cut out the two shapes from the embossed pink card. Set the patterned die cut aside to use later.

 6. Die cut the green background shape and use both dies to create the pink frame and the decorative shape. (This second pink decorative shape is not needed on this card but can be used on another project.

7. Glue the pink frame shapes to the green background shape and the stamped image, then attach the stamped one on top of the other as shown with 3D foam squares.

 8. Apply glue to the back of the left side and stick this down to the front left of the card.

Inside the card
Glue one of the pink decorative die cuts from step 5 to the inside of the card.

A few photos taken at Crawfordsburn Country Park, Co. Down this evening

On the path from Crawfordsburn to Helen's Bay, Co. Down

This area is totally covered with bluebells in May time but I can't recall being there when the daffodils are out in full bloom. I don't think I'll make it back on time this year either :(

How to make it:
 1. Start with a 6x6 white card. Score and fold the front in half as shown. Mark at 5cm from each side at the fold and cut this section out of the front half.

 2. Take a piece of acetate measuring 9cm x 9cm and score so that it is the same height as the aperture. Attach to the inside of the aperture with double sided tape.

 3. Cut another piece of acetate measuring 5cm x 7cm and score at 1cm on the 7cm length. Add double sided tape to the scored part. Cut out two mermaids from the paper pad and glue to the acetate. Add 3mm aqua pearls.

 4. Attach the mermaids on acetate to the inside of the card, directly at the score line, with the double sided tape.

 5. Glue a 14.5cm x 7cm piece of sea patterned paper to the inside of the card, just below the aperture. Glue a 14cm x 14cm piece of wave patterned paper to a 14.5cm x 14.5cm piece of turquoise paper and attach to the inside of the card with double sided tape.

6. Glue a 4cm x 6.5cm piece of patterned paper to a 4.5cm x 7cm piece of turquoise paper and glue to the right side of the acetate panel. Repeat on the left side.
Die cut waves from the Build a Scene die set and glue behind the acetate.
Die cut the triple frame and glue onto a piece of turquoise paper.Attach to the wave patterned paper with 3D foam squares at 2.25cm from the bottom of the card.

7. Die cut the "Special Day" from  the Plaque die set, glue onto turquoise paper and attach to the centre of the triple frame with 3D foam squares. Cut out two shells from the paper pad and glue one to the frame on each side of the Special Day. Add 3mm silver gems in the centres. Fussy cut a piece of purple patterned paper to fit across the bottom of the card and glue in place.
